1) IT/IS SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Monitoring systems activities to ensure that all interfaces (general systems) are working as required
- Maintenance and day-to-day technical support for 50+ desktop/laptop computers, and peripheral equipment, in person and over the phone
- Assist in communicating and coordinating all IS/IT issues with management in various departments
- Hardware, software, network trouble-shooting
- PC set up and troubleshooting
- Develop a procedure and program to document customers' issues clearly, accurately and concisely into an incident tracking system
- Research and troubleshoot all technically related problems and issues until an acceptable solution is identified
- Provide support as necessary and assist in customer crises
- Identify departmental and employee training needs and assist managers in researching and delivering training
QUALIFICATIONS include but are not limited to the following:
- 2-4 years of IT-related work experience with emphasis on networking and general systems
- MS Office Professional, MS Project or other project tracking tool
- Good skills in HTML. DHTML, ASP, XML
- Ability to set up general email/SMTP
- Ability to troubleshoot printer, hardware and phone issues
- MITEL phone system knowledge a plus
- Highly skilled with Windows NT/2000/XP commands and utilities
- MS SQL Server, Web server knowledge, and experience writing scripts in an administrative language
- Familiarity with system administration tools and processes such as booting/shutting down a machine, adding or removing user accounts, using backup programs, and maintaining system database files (groups, hosts, aliases)
- Ability to write scripts in an administrative language such as Perl, Write SQI scripts for the purposes of data manipulation; Visual Basic
- Experience with database administration, payroll and accounting systems
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot Cat5 and Cat3 Network and Phone wiring
- Must be a self-starter, goal-oriented, with ability to multi-task
- Have a highly developed sense of integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, during busy season
