FAULTLINE CAN'T WAIT FOR 07/08 (to release their new features!!!)

Wrightwood, CA. – October 24, 2007: Mountain High’s Faultline Terrain Park is turning heads with this season’s selection of features. New ideas, new equipment, and more acres dedicated to terrain translate into more fun for Southern California’s riders. Justin Montoya, Faultline Terrain Park Manger, and his crew spent a considerable amount of time constructing the new elements and, while innovation was a key ingredient, safety and quality remained center stage. From beginner to advanced, riders will be captivated by the vast array of professionally-built features including the new Cronk Rail, an urban combo feature inspired by pro rider Cory Cronk.

Says Montoya, “Some people say quality, not quantity. I say quantity with quality.”

Justin’s philosophy holds true as park features dominate almost every trail at Mountain High’s West Resort. It is the implementation of these principles that makes Mountain High a premier stomping ground for Southern California riders and allows them to produce features that defy imagination.

One of the largest additions this season is the C-Bow. Innovative in design, this feature is a convex, banked rainbow box with plenty of room for experimentation. Another exciting feature is the Reversible Quarter Pipe. Covered in custom graffiti, this feature incorporates a 2-foot stall platform on one end and, when flipped over, a 2-inch coping bar on the other. Regardless of how this rail is set up, it is guaranteed to challenge even the savviest snowboarding specialist. The centerpiece this year is the new Cronk Rail designed by Justin Montoya and Cory Cronk. This urban anomaly is 30 feet long, 12 feet wide and features a single bar on one side, a down ledge box on the other, and a wide lexan slide covering faux stairs in the middle. This creative masterpiece offers multiple options that force riders to tap into their snowboarding imagination.

As always, existing jibs were refitted with new wood, lexan, and, of course, new graphics. The Roller Box was transformed into the Pink Lady to lend support for Mountain High’s new “Pink Ticket,” a program that raises money and awareness for Breast Cancer research. The Cronk Rail is fitted custom hand-rail side panels that place it in any-snowy-town USA. And the rest of Mountain High’s features will leave their competitors “green” with envy.

An old jib that has made its way back into the arsenal is the Down-Flat-Down Rail. This classic feature is now fitted with a 2-inch flat rail that is narrow enough to be difficult but wide enough to allow for advanced maneuvers. Other familiar features include the Richter Scale, the 12 Foot Wall Ride, and the new and improved Double Trouble.

As if the onslaught of features weren’t enough, a new Prinoth Bison snowcat will help Faultline set them up and groom them out. This 355-horse machine boasts increased power, enhanced agility, and improved finish surfacing. The Bison is equipped with a high performance POSIFLEX tiller. This proven technology makes the Bison unbeatable in professional slope maintenance worldwide and translates into great corduroy despite the region’s varying conditions. The new machine also comes equipped with a generous 12-way blade which will push mountains of snow easily, and with minimum effort. Moving rails, sculpting jumps, and grooming out the park will be no problem for this piece of heavy machinery. When is all said and done, the new Prinoth Bison easily earns the Faultline Terrain Park Staff’s seal of approval.

Mountain High continues to strive for on-hill perfection by producing the very best terrain features possible. With new jibs, better terrain, a new snowcat, and enhanced snowmaking, the resort can’t wait to show its guests what is in store this season.
