Snowmaking is underway at Mountain High. Temperatures dropped to the mid 20s last night and the Wrightwood resort began making snow early this morning. Snowmaking operations should reach top to bottom by this evening as the temperature continue to fall. If conditions stay favorable there is an outside chance the resort could be open for skiing and snowboarding as early as midweek. This follows the season’s first snowfall which happened November 1st, just two weeks ago.
This season Mountain High is proud to announce a wide range of improvements including new fan guns, new terrain features, and new terrain-based teaching programs. These snowmaking improvements will help Mountain High open even quicker this winter, allowing them to put down new snow faster than ever before. Traditionally Mountain High is the first resort to open in Southern California and has been for the past 17 years.
