The Powder Alliance is proud to announce the addition of its 19th resort, Lost Trail, MT, also known as “Lost Trail Powder Mountain” located just outside Sula, MT, on famous Powder Highway 93. If you are looking to lose yourself this winter, Lost Trail is the place for you.
Established in 1938, Lost Trail is one of Montana’s original ski resorts spanning 1,800 acres along the Montana-Idaho border. It has a top elevation of 8,200’, 1,800’ vertical and receives more than 400” of fresh snow annually.
Lost trail is off the beaten path but the terrain is ripe for discovery. It has playful terrain for the whole family plus steeps and chutes that are easy to reach. Its longest run is 1.2 miles with plenty of powder pillows and cliff lines along the way.
Open Thursday – Monday only, the powder piles up during the week giving Thursday and Friday skiers a special treat before the weekend.
You can tell the soul of skiing is alive and well at Lost Trail from every smile you get on the chairlift to the people working the lodge. Looking for a Local’s Tip? There are a number of different hot springs within an hour of Lost Trail.
Now in its 10th year, the Powder Alliance spans 3 countries, 2 hemispheres, and includes 19 premier winter destinations.
